Walking On Eggshells. Poem by Jessica Millsaps

Walking On Eggshells.

Walking on eggshells,
And whispering your words,
I'm not fragile, nor broken,
Just dying from hurts.

If you think that I'm through,
Than I've misguided you,
For I'm just beginning,
I've got a long way to go

Secrets I told,
And lies that I created,
Were never as bad,
As all the days that I hated,
And whenever I wept,
You acted so cold,
So you wonder why now,
I'm so uncontrolled

Hours spent pining away.
Tears dropp day by day
It's a story almost done,
And a tale almost finished,
And you're still wondering why,
Your role was diminished,

I'm not over these days,
And I'm not through with myself,
This is certainly no phase,
You're only hurting yourself

I'm finished with these lies
And I'm not pretending anymore,
The pain that you caused me,
I'll just learn to ignore

You're nothing to me,
You can hurt me no more,
I've been totally set free
It's you that I feel for! !
