Walking Man Poem by mifael llauderes

Walking Man

I saw I girl whose name was Evelyn
Who keeps at bay all sorts of evil in
Her place so hellish
The devil relished
But tough the girl whose name was Evelyn

I saw a man who likes to walk about
He's neither walking in nor walking out
While he walks aimlessly
He burns some fat said he
Like me, the man, he likes to walk about

I saw a girl who's clad skimpily
Around she twirls and trots on merrily
The horse went crazy
She fainted dizzy
And fell, the girl who's clad skimpily

I saw a pensive man sunk by the road
Amidst the stream he's in an absent mode
A tin can by his side
A penny falls inside
With every clink, he lets a pensive nod

I asked the pensive man sunk by the road
How it feels like to be without abode
He poked me on the knee
Said, "Are you kidding me? "
Another clink and goes the pensive nod

I sat next to the man sunk by the road
A coin just missed the can and hit the road
"Where is your tin? " asked he
"At home, a bin! " said me
"That's why I like no walls ‘round my abode…"

I thanked the pensive man sunk by the road
I rose and pressed on him a pensive nod
"Thank me for what? " said he
"You shared a lot! " said me
What insight has that blind man by the road

In haste I fled like pupil going home
A lanky shadow flew before the sun
As it's about to set
Things brimming in my thought
I scrambled for a pen to write this song
