Walking Barefoot In Red Dirt Poem by Marilyn Lott

Walking Barefoot In Red Dirt

Rating: 5.0

There is nothing in the world
Like walking without shoes
Out of doors with nature
Will chase away your blues

Devoid of encumbering footwear
Your toes can wiggle free
Digging into soft red dirt
Is so very pleasant to me

I walk new paths in perfect bliss
The sky an exquisite blue
The warmth from the summer sun
Has this ever happened to you?

Ah yes, it’s such a perfect time
Though it comes in seasonal spurts
But the perfect time it is for me
Walking barefoot in red dirt!

Hi Marilyn! ! Lovely poem! I did a lot of barefoot walking 'when i was a boy', if there was some red dirt here to walk on - that would be a joy.. Best wishes! *10*! ! Friend Thad
