Waiting Poem by Bill Grace

Waiting

Waiting for the great man
I write.
I am on time.
He has what I want.
The coffee is prepared.
A gift for his wife is present.
The weather is bad,
greater caution is the order
of driving.
How late will he be?
5 minutes
not so bad -
given the weather -
given the great man.
