Waiting Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Waiting

Rating: 5.0

Our love is broken
The wings of time has taken it away
To a land beyond the sun

The good hours spent
Together in between circadian chores
I remember and lament

This cruel world laugh
How in a short span our single soul
Shreds into two halves

You must be missing
Our meeting at the moonlit barn
Our gossiping and kissing

Can we hold the promises?
Made to the faithful hours of love
When life would turn into pieces

Counting days I wait
I believe you to return into my arms
And to rewrite our fate.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Your anguish over the broken love has nicely been portrayed. Your anxiety and expectations over an amicable solution of the drift are also beautiful...10
