Waiting Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Waiting

I waited by the phone
But it rang not.

My thoughts fluctuated.

At times
I willed the phone
To ring.
At times white fear
Filled my face
To hear it ringing.

Truly, such change in thoughts from normal to extremes do happen in our lives.
