Wacky, Wild, Water – Sonnet #40 Poem by Stephanie Eve Kane Arado

Wacky, Wild, Water – Sonnet #40

Dive down deep in the wacky, wild water
Grasp swim goggles, which sank to the bottom
Somersault easy time does not alter
Acrobatic finesse adept, random
Floating, soaking relaxing and drifting
Tasting summer in a gulp of chlorine
Thick atmosphere is summer’s song fleeting
Towels, buoys, paperbacks, litter the scene
Gather at the indoor pool for a swim
Liquid adventure for both young and old
Voices are an enthusiastic hymn
Sea monsters lurk in the depths I am told
Composed of water, near eighty percent
Splashing a lovely way time is spent
