Vows Poem by Sarah Stopka

Vows

Just looking on alone I stand.

As he placed the ring onto my hand.

We vowed our love forever true.

'I love you, ' he said.

I loved him too.

He held me tight, then told me good-bye.

He kissed my check and tears filled up my eyes.

He laid back down never to awake.

For that was the last breath he would ever take.
