Void Poem by Thomas Plotz

Void

Photos of the places
Spaces filled with the void of
Us

Wonderful sights we have seen
Together,
Yet, like our life
Spent most of our time
Apart

Hews, textures, forest green
Tall grass in blowing wind
Grandeur cold running streams
Dreams filled with pine trees, sand, and mountain high
Trout filled, rainbow brooks
It’s worth another look
Shook me awake, now I see
Now I SEE
Who you are, to
Me

Visualizing your need, for me to see,
Please let me come home, to
Be

But then, my love, I slip away,
Back into my
Void
