Vivid Poem by Sana Olivia Hernandez

Vivid

Paint me a picture,
Why don't you?
Paint it with your words.

Show me your sorrow,
Your pain.
Paint it with your teary ink,
And make me want to see it again.

Be vivid,
Why don't you?
Take me with you.
On your journey into your poem.
Or whatever you have to say.
Make your words take my breath away.

Are you ready?
Tell me.
Let me see at the same time,
A glimpse into your mind.

Why don't you?

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I really like this poem. The interplay between the other person and you the speaker is remarkable. It is so mercurial. It never settles down. You keep this obviously artistic friend alert, focused, busy. S/he doesn't have a chance to give an excuse, like I'm too tired or Let's call it a day. No way, you are determined to provoke your friend's creative work before the day is done. But it's done in the spirit of fun. This is the best way to make a creative environment for people., so they feel challenged and not intimidated.
