Vision Of Tyche Poem by Night Flyer

Vision Of Tyche

I looked up to the sky, the twilight rising,
In a Floridian park, saw a vision spellbinding,
The goddess Tyche, She appeared to me,
On a throne of gold overlooking the sea,
Goddess of Chance and Fortune strong,
Protectress of the fair port Ascalon,
Melting caramel clouds of time,
Drifted over a windy shoreline,
Through the mists I could plainly see,
Her immortal gaze of serenity,
In shimmering mists, She was wearing a crown,
Gazing over this city of much renown,
As time stood still, I watched in awe,
This ancient goddess of the Levantine shore,
Fortune has gone, but forever She must,
Watch o'er a dead city long buried in dust.
