Virtual World Poem by Hayley Lewis

Virtual World

Hello virtual world.
I take it you saw me falling off my chair last night
Wine in one hand
Mouse in the other
While you sighed
But it's not as if I'm real
Delete me
With my name
Your memories
My tears
The early morning sunrise
Which I missed
Sleeping the day away
My room spinning
My dreams warped
Until the night begins again
Sitting in front of the screne
Limp fingers
Hazed and drained
Wine in one hand
Mouse in the other
