Violation Vii Poem by ARUN D'CRUZE

Violation Vii

REVISITATION

After a week's rest
at her mother's place
she felt somewhat better
but a prickling pain, retrace
her abdomen unabated.
But she ignored
as minor complication
the day's chore, followed
without interruption.
Neighbour came to visit
wellwished the mother
and the baby's charm exhibit.

Shankar too came with his mother
presented some baby's item,
still love reflected from his glance
not changed without exclaim
devotion from the heart, stem
from his romanitc realm
eyes glistened in assured emblem
feelings, didnot listen to requiem.

Her eyes became moist
tears tried to foist
the dissidence, hoist
yet composed, equipoised.
Felt the poverty frugal
of broken intent betrothal.
She the impoverished beggar
and see the winning looser
stood enriched pursuer.
