Vintage - Poem by Paola Degli Esposti

scissors
hanging at a light brown string
around my neck
pale face at the sun
i am cutting grapes
my sweetest thought
goes at
home
one boy
and one girl
and a mother
shortsighted
and brave
a friend is
with me
beside me
sweated
and careful
at what she does
a joke
a smile
and the day goes
on
fatigue
but no
despair
i am told
