Video Game Poem by David DeSantis

Video Game

Rating: 3.1

I sometimes feel as if all relationships
Are like a video game.

It's as if I'm constantly trying
To attain the next level
Yet every obstacle
Finds a way to knock me out.

Pause, re-start, level up and back down.
And you're holding the control.

It's no surprise that I'm averse to playing games
Enough in life to keep me busy,
Yet the only joy stick you seem to find
Is of the plastic hardened sort.

If you were my Princess Daisy
I would be your Super Mario,

If only games were that simple.

Kids stuff....nice comparisons made to a relationship. Cute and funny in a way, you made my day...you'll be everyone's Super Mario. Thanks.
