Vicky - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Vicky - Lincoln Park Zoo

For fifty years, Vicky did live
As a madame ambassador
With a wealth of sharing to give
On being better than before
At connections each one with one,
As living family on Earth,
Each born a daughter or a son,
The measure of parents' true worth.
Vicky, from daughter, did become
Mother over time in one place,
As multitudes passed to and from,
Seeing the connect in her face.

Grand Dame chimp of Lincoln Park Zoo,
Vicky, we will remember you.
