Vertical Horizon Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Vertical Horizon

Vertical Horizon

There is line
Straight, long, too long
Vertical Horizon
Makes me two
Night and day

Of Iran, united
Much larger
I have lost
Hands and legs
To so called “self-servants”

I am left bloodless
Weak and poor; skin pale
Red remains killer’s hand and blade
I have been capitulated
By the keys, rights, to left Kremlin

But Kiev and Moscow
Belarus and elsewhere
Petersburg, Marinskey
And Bolshoi-Theatre
Pushkin and Lermontov

I am cut, divided
Want Paris, Washington
Alaska, Argentine and Andes
I am worlds
In the wind a feather, uncertain

A Buddhist, Christian and Muslim
I love all; genderless, colorless
No border, no border
Hercules and Rostam, Krishna
I am none; I am all.

I’m Sufi and Dervish
I carry Tabarzin; this is my intention
My Kashkool empty, no coin of silver, full of love
I’m fakir in Harlem; a Hindu, a slave, immigrant
I’m Roma, CIC deported; I remain a homeless.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

This world has only one cardinal problem, yet it is one of perditious substance...ACCEPTANCE, which covers just about all & everything that has, is and will continue to rape, malign and malignantize our world until Kingdom Cometh! War, Prejudice, Terror, Isolation, Abortion...I could go on & write a novels worth of global issues that (IMO) could be alleviated if not eradicated through communication/acceptance....Enjoyed your poem...It is spot-on powerful in its language and delivery.
