Veronica Of Hamilton Poem by Francis Duggan

Veronica Of Hamilton

Though well known around Hamilton Town
Veronica has no wish for renown
Blond and young and beautiful without conceit
A nice person to talk to or meet
About her she has a nice way
This woman with few words to say
Though she is worthy of a toast
Of her achievements she doesn't boast
Respect to her type we should pay
She makes a new friend every day
To her higher self she is true
And credit is only her due
Though a credit to Hamilton Town
She is not one who lives for renown.
