Verbal Pollution Poem by Frank Odindo

Verbal Pollution

Verbal pollution verbal pollution,
Chocking the little town and the big nation,
Cropping up in every conversation,
Watch out! Euphemism is near extinction.

The poison of pessimism,
Anointed with negative criticism,
A vicious violence mechanism,
STOP! Now turn to euphemism.

Begotten by grumblers and gamblers,
Bred and nurtured by notorious complainers,
Perpetuated by all slang users,
Armageddon of speech is here with us!

Let's save the world, dear ye all,
From succumbing to the oncoming fall,
We can do it, you poet, you pal,
With lyrics, verses, and quotes, so heed my call.

Excuse me; sorry; pleas; can do,
well done; welcome; or even thank you,
I'm fine; you mind? ; says it too.
So test yourself with one or two!
