Venomous Love Poem by Jayvin George

Venomous Love

When the time comes there is nothing to do.
Lost in confusion frustration and all that is mixed with anger too.
But anger with no direction just lingers and hangs.
Poisoning the mind and the body like a rattlesnake with foot long fangs.
The rainy days with the sun nowhere in sight.
The constant days you sit and think about what you didn’t do right.
But your mind is clouded and cluttered because you want to be free.
When deep down inside you crying and bleeding but the people can’t see.
You mask the sorrow of the days you have had and the days to come.
You want to get rid of your problems so you drink a fifth of rum.
But when you sober up you’re in the same place.
Looking in the same ole mirror trying to recognize the same ole face.
But when you look into the eyes you it from the outside in.
When the man that’s in the mirror just knows he will never win.
That’s how the days come and go.
Filled with pain, hate and sorrow.
They come and go.
They come and go.
