philosophers live in their books or their heads,
philanderers live in their flesh,
philanthropists live in their giving to others
but all share a mutual quest...

for the one sits and ponders the nature of things,
while one seeks to plunder delight,
and one goes about in presumptuous air
striving to set things a right...

but all three enjoy every fruit of their labors,
and each has a similar goal:
self-gratification, the motive behind them all,
-pleasure for each to behold.
