Vanity Poem by shashikant acharya

Vanity

Vanity a useless fellow,
It shows our nature mellow.
We show ego for paltry thing,
Have lost gentleness in human being.
Things are short-lived and brief,
For which our ego makes men to grief.
For woman beauty is an ego,
They show it whereever they go.
Richness is the sister of it,
It hightens and accelerate a bit.
Excess is the reason for vanity,
Ego comes in the excess dainty.
In true education it lacks,
Even in excess ego backs.
It lives in shallow learning,
With education it abates with churning.
It also lives in parsimonious,
In rich something for them abnoxious.
Grapes are sour for those who are poor,
Poors are those who are not doer.
It is hateful and baleful,
Should eradicate with our force full.
Vanity causes calamities,
At last one only for one pities.
Vanity a quality of bad spartan,
It lived in Ravana as well as in Satan
