Vanity Poem by Talmadge Rogalla

Vanity

The strobes pulsated,
Quickly flashing,
I was handsome,
I was dashing.
I thrust my pelvis,
To the beat,
To impress her,
As she was sweet.
Jiggling around,
Euphoric and high,
Dance with me,
I said with a sigh.
I was dancing well,
I felt so sound,
Until I tripped over,
And fell to the ground.
Then it ended,
As I lay on the floor,
I saw her vanish,
Through the main front door.
