Vaneasia Poem by James Walter Orr

Vaneasia

On the island called Jamaica,
Where the water, bluish green,
Laps the long and sandy beaches
Where Vaneasia rules as queen.

Looking o'er the foaming water,
Looking o'er the rolling sea,
She dreams of a voyage someday,
When she'll solve its mystery.

When she finishes her schooling,
Pleasant years, and just a few,
Ere she starts her new profession,
Bids her family adieu,

Sees the sights for which she hungers,
All so interesting and cool,
Then goes back to her Jamaica,
And her destiny to rule.
