Van Stealing Swordfish (A Poem For Children) Poem by Jojoba Mansell

Van Stealing Swordfish (A Poem For Children)

Beware of a van stealing swordfish,
warned the worried police chief.
But nobody believed a word he said,
a swordfish was a thief?

His description went out on the news,
he’s big and grey with a sword on his face.
But be careful the police warned them,
he’s armed and dangerous don’t give chase.

If you see him, quickly run the other way,
he has gigantic biceps, his strong back’s very broad.
But even more lethal to you, we would agree,
is that long, sharp, pointy sword.

The police wanted him in prison,
but he fled towards the sea.
They’ll never ever catch him now,
he will always be swimming free.
