Valentines Day Poem by Daya Nandan

A special day for you and me,
A special day for the world to see,
A day to express the love i feel
A promise in trust and love we deal,

A promise in my heart that i shall keep,
An immortal symbol of my love so deep,
There will be times that you might hate me,
But this love in my heart will always be for you to see,

Be it in the good times or bad my love won't decay,
i'll love you with all my heart every passing night and day,
No matter the years, no matter the distance,
These feelings in my heart will remain in existence,

So, accept these feelings granted by the angels above,
And realize the dept of my undying love,
So, remember this day for the years to come,
For i will never say loving you was something dumb,

So, when you hold this poem close to your heart,
Remember that love is the most ancient art,
From the beginning of eternity till the end of time,
i'll tell you i love you in every rhythm and every rhyme,

When your heart aches and needs to heal,
Come to me and love in it i shall seal,
I'll hug you tightly and wipe away those tears,
Whisper words that will fade your fears,

Your reaction to my poem is for you to decide,
For i have shown you my love and have nothing to hide,
If you love me or reject me i don't really mind,
I'll just bless you and that lucky guy you will find,

Though, rejection stings and evokes shame,
I will never regret loving you or shouting your name,
On a bright Tuesday with the sky so calm and blue,
That feeling in me, I love you.
