Cover me with your beauty sublime;
Stain upon my heart the dying echo of love.
Plant in my bosom the eternal seed of hope
And I'll reap a harvest of fulfilment.
Ignite upon the window of my heart
The everlasting fires of hope and liberty.
Permit my ear to hear, the rippling chords
Of the melody of your love song.
A love song sung in dire earnest
As in unison both hearts quietly beat.
Hide me under the wings of your passion
And I'll rest in contentment forevermore.
Awfully impressive poem. Really one of the warmest, sweetest poems I've ever heard! Great stuff!
Hi Enoch, I love this piece however I am an idle musician as well and would like perhaps suggest a small change. Although chords can be broken chords and occasionally construct a melody they usually have the function of supporting the melody that at best soars out of the chordal progression. I would modestly present instead of the word Of (Of the melody of your love song) perhaps guiding giving birth to engendering or creating. I love the simple expressiveness of your style. Thanks for sharing, Paul
Soothing and mesmerizing to young and young at hearts, while it can be tantalizing to some. Beautifully crafted. Deserves it's placement. X

Well done- it bears and/or bares a youthful love so intense so wholehearted that it can carry us through many a barren year.
