Valentine

On such Spring Time days as this
When the whole world around blossoms
....under soft sun rays
....upon soft red roses
Lolling in the green, supine,
I fall a-dreaming, a-dreaming in bliss

As the recurring thought yet comes -
....my Lady from Malayland yonder
....tell me, dear, I wonder -
Would you be my sweet Valentine?

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
