Can we flee just you and me
to a place where we belong
where we, us two, we can be happy and free
where no one can hear our love song

where we can be hidden
from eyes outside
where no one can catch us even if they tried

oh how lovely it would be
if it were only you and me

oh yes the sea, that will do nicely
now come my love it's time to flee

away from land we shall go
into the sea we venture
moving with the current's flow
