Us Today Poem by Joanna Pavlides

Us Today

Rating: 3.0

If only I could speak
The words of my soul
We wouldn't be so lost

The numbness
Would no longer be
The everyday torch

To take us through
Minutes of each day
And a countdown to dawns

If only I could find
The language you understand
We wouldn't be so hurt

The hearts
Would comprehend
What the minds cannot control

The life in us would again flow.
