Upon The Death Of Mary, A Poet At Voicesnet

Rating: 4.5

An angel fetched our Mary, for above,
Be gone now Charon, no one rides your boat,
For nary you'll transport all of the love
She brings, in your boat, and still stay afloat;

And tell Persephone, when back this year:
Enhance the Spring, but no one helps this time,
The Poetess has Heaven's hosts to cheer,
With tenderness, compassion and sweet rhyme;

But mark that loving eyes stare from the blue,
To be assured, blooms enfoliate the Spring,
And love engulfs the world as once she knew,
While songbirds in the prairie wilds still sing;
....Tonight, the bright stars will remind again,
.... She is to us such loss, but Heaven's gain.

A very beautiful elegy in remembrance of one dear to the poet. Well written. Full of tenderness, sadness and affection.
