Upliftment Poem by venkatesh ram

Upliftment

alone in a journey
awaiting for nothingness
living out days with dead hopes
loving to be in the grave
lost ambitions beckon for rebirth
saddened over thoughts of age
dreaming about quick living
untold miseries eating the heart
pathos befriends for another supper
will to live or leave puzzles
agony piled over the years
prepares for yet another blow
call it fate or failure
callous are the ways of mind
yet i sing lead kindly light
with no lamps to lighten my heart
