On a lighter note
On a brighter note
A blinding, flashing, disco punching
Tighter note
I just want to say
That so far today
This day has been a better one
Than yesterday.

All my problems now
Seem so small somehow
And almost fading out of sight
I ask not how
Oh and see the sky
Clouds are passing by
The rain has stopped and now the sun
Is climbing high.

All is green around
I don’t hear a sound
A blackbird hops in search of food
Across the ground
Flowers rise again
Freed of drops of rain
Their colours spreading warmth and joy
To ease my pain.

If this day could last
And there was no past
This moment would remain with me
One unsurpassed.
