Unwrap My Candy Version 2 Poem by Paula Glynn

Unwrap My Candy Version 2

I am candy,
Wrapped up in plastic,
Tied with a pink ribbon,
And I am as sweet as sugar,
On the inside,
As you will taste,
When you unwrap my candy.

Life is a bowl of candied cherries,
And lollipops so sweet,
That taste like heaven,
On the tongue,
So unwrap my candy.

I talk my words so sweet,
Like lemon sherbet,
That fizzes on the tongue,
Like a bittersweet addiction,
So unwrap my candy.

I am wrapped up,
Sweetness hidden inside,
Like flavoured hard candy,
That is perfection on the tastebuds,
And I want you,
To unwrap my love,
That is preserved like,
The sweetest wrapped candy.
