The look in your eyes says you want me as much as I want you
But I'm not sure if it's just lust; the fact that it's been so long for me
Or is this what I really want to do

You hold back, afraid of losing control
While I keep control, afraid of messing everything up and losing you
Each time we're together, things get more intense
We take a step further than the time before
But always stop before we go too far

What'll happen once we do?
Will everything change;
Will this amazing thing we have between us come crashing down?
Or will things just stay the same...
Is there a possibility that taking that next step will just be another milestone, having no major effect?

Maybe it won't be anything major at all
But something ever so subtle
Yet it'll add to our relationship, bringing us closer together
