Until The End Poem by DAVID TERRY

Until The End

Alot has been mentioned
Alot has been said
Alot has been tossed around
About the days ahead

It’s said that our best days
Are now in the past
That we as man and woman
You and I, cannot last

I reject such talk
I reject such speculation
That says we must balk
At our shared adoration

I see better days ahead
Than those left behind
I see times when will be said
Love and time are truly kind

I see better days tomorrow
Than those of yesterday
When separation and sorrow
Had rule over today

I’ll bridge what is between us
Until at your door I stand
When you open it, then see us
Together until the end
