Unspoken Affection Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Unspoken Affection

I stand here guilty
But I am not yet charged
The crime is yet committed
The crime of my love for you
My affection is unspoken
I fear it will remain that forever
You cross my path often
Your pictures flashes my mind every second
It fizzles out easily, too
I know that you cannot belong to me
I belong to someone else
