Unseen Me Poem by Claude H Oliver II

Unseen Me

The me you see is not me
Tall or short
Fatty or skinny
Ugly or pretty
The me you see is not me
Standing or running
Smiling or frowning
Bleaching or browning
The me you see is not me
That me is not seen with eyes
In the light of day
Or dark of night
Wrong or right
The real me is not in sight

Who sees this me
Hidden from view
What eyes perceive this unseen sight
What sees without light
In this everlasting night
The me you see who is not me
Is seen through other eyes not seen
Eyes of the heart
Have their own light
Light of love, compassion and kindness
Beams through darkness of hate, anger and envy
Shining on invisible me
For the heart world to see
