Unrequited Love Poem by Mgt Man

Unrequited Love

Every person I am with provides brand new risk
Their lips would pucker and provide a generic kiss
They cling to me like I am the only one
If they were smart they would turn and run
But naively they fall for me
I get bored and set them free

But then I met you and you were magnificent!
Every kiss with you was new and different
I fell under the weight of a school girl crush
Every time I saw you I felt and exciting rush
I thought it would be smart if I was brave
All it has done is twist my heart and put me in a haze

Now I know how the others feel
I can not believe it happened to me, is this real?
I am not as strong as I thought
I did not think I would be so easily caught
But you do not want me in the same way
And I wonder should I stay and wait another day

Everything that happens is suppose to be
I guess I just have to sit and patiently wait for destiny
I hope that one day you return
And that when you do our relationship we can discern
But if you do not want that I respect your decision
Being with you is not going to be my life's mission
