Unrequited
It remains and thrives,
Feeding on solitude,
Harboring hope,
Harboring faith,
Is there a chance,
Is there some rational solution
A way to cope,
A way to run,
When emotions overcome reason,
Nothing to do but wait,
Until your presence again be felt
Even, for emotions, unrequited.
