Unnamed Story Poem by Poetical Analysis

Unnamed Story

After everything was made, & all the stories of what happened had been told & painted, when there were enough things to see that the eyes were full, & more sounds than the ears could tell apart, & more smells than the nose cared to meet, then the first feeling was all alone.
So, First Feeling went to Nose & asked Nose, 'Do you know me? '
Nose sniffed First Feeling & said, 'I don't know. I can't smell you at all.'
Then First Feeling found Ears & asked, 'What do you think I am? '
Ears listened as close as possible & replied, 'I've heard everything. I know what makes every sound, but I never heard you, or anything like you.'
When First Feeling came across Eyes, Eyes greeted First Feeling with graceful glances that echoed everything ever seen. First Feeling asked Eyes, 'Can you tell me what I am? '
Eyes looked First Feeling over, real good. It was almost a whole day of staring. Then Eyes closed softly & wept. First Feeling waited all night. Eyes cried the whole moon. When the sun shined again, & Eyes was still closed & crying, First Feeling got up & went away.
As First Feeling was wandering, Story was sitting alone under a bridge, hiding from everything. First Feeling heard Story & went under the bridge to see who it was.
When First Feeling found Story, all alone & hiding, First Feeling asked, 'Who are you? '
Story didn't respond right away, but after as long as a shooting star shines, Story said, 'No one ever told me.'
First Feeling embraced Story, like a chimpanzee mother holds her baby, & like a Human baby eats from a plastic nipple, & said, 'You are my child. I am your mother.'
