Sangha Trinational area
from the hairy furry black, my heart
screams, save them, save them

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
They couldn't cram more animals into this site if they tried. The protected Sangha Trinational area in the Congo basin incorporates three national parks with a total size of 750,000 hectares, much of which remains untouched by civilisation. The area is home to the endangered western lowland gorilla, Nile crocodiles, Goliath tigerfish and chimpanzees, along with a spectacular range of flora and other fauna.
