Unimagination

Unimagination... - Poem by Frank James Ryan Jr (FjR)

Wings don't always fly

It's just a credible assumption

like saying every person

with hip bones and legs

can stand, walk or bend at the knees

Logic and Reason

be socratically deft

yet, at some point in merit

Dreams and Vision

supersede the former.

Eyes aren't always perspicuous

to images dangling before them

'tis why sleep be quite rewarding-

for in dreams we can do anything

imagination has to offer our yen.

Wishing we had wings to fly

far away from Logic and Reason

that sometimes brings us to our knees

in search of the sweetest wine

from Life's fertile vineyards,

till Death comes for our Souls

shaking its head at the likes of us

knowing all too well it be

our only escape from the dread-

of... u n i m g i n a t a t i o n.
