Unforgettable Memory Poem by Sahra Hussein

Unforgettable Memory

Rating: 5.0

Childhood is part of my daily life.
I wish I could go back to my childhood.
I wish I could change my past event.
I wish I could restart my life again.
Unfortunately event of my childhood is unchangeable.
It is uncountable how much pain hidden in my heart
Oh my culture you have taken away from me my health
My people you have damaged my bravery
I was innocent girl who was under your care
I accepted circumcision
By showing brave and courage
I was fearless and never disobey
But never knowing before what really it means
And the reason you have chose it for me.
I wish I could erase my childhood memory.
I will restore my bravery again to protect
My siblings and the generation behind me
