Unforgettable Poem by G J Salgado

Unforgettable

Rating: 5.0

There she stood in the doorway,
But I knew that she couldn't stay.
A soul that I have missed so much,
I have longed and yearned for her touch.
A Goddess that I will never forget,
These years how they have came and went.
Who would have known,
After seventeen years her spirit shown.
I could see her heavenly face,
Craving for my mother's embrace.
It occured only for a moment,
No time for words, not even a single comment.
I reached out just to touch her,
Then she suddenly disappeared...

Extremely serene, sad and poignant. It brings to fore the tremendous relationship shared by a mother and a daughter which leaves a great void after the mother is no more. A soulful tribute to the mother.
