This poem is about what happens to me when I think about a very special person from my past. A long time ago, I met the most unforgettable girl that I have ever encountered in my life. Her name is Maria. Time stood still the 1st moment I saw her walking towards me. Her beauty and the essence of her inner self emitted a magnificent energy and warm glow that cut right though to my soul. Sadly, she moved away without knowing how much she meant to me. And I have always regretted this. However, the time that I spent getting to know her while too short, is forever frozen in time within my memories and in my heart. Even though I moved on with my life I've really never been able to shake the thought of her, and never will. And just the thought, just the idea of her continues to inspire.
