Unfinished



when we began to drift,
i began to fall.
when you began to leave,
i started to withdraw.
I don't want to leave this way
i don't want to fight.
i don't want to lose my only hope
in this world of mine
i need my space. i need an ounce of time.
have you an hourglass?
have you a time watch?
check the time,
it's running behind...
i've got to say farewell
this is my goodbye.
we had our times,
now it's mine.
i stand up and rise
i refuse to hide in the shadows.
i step into the sunshine
i run into the light.
this is me
this is now.
it's time for my love.
i won't turn away
from who i'm ment to be.
i run screaming,
i shy away from your touch.
we can not be,
so i ask you humbly,
forget who i was,
let go of my hand.
we were great, we were grand,
but that is over.
i must start anew,
grab and hourglass, and flip it over.
my life starts now, and its
......*unfinished*............

assertive..... exuding will power...yep ma'am....the soft power taking control... lovely....like a much trodden heroine from a classical tome.... and i liked yer open ended approach...signifying hope not closure... :) ***
