Undiscovered Land Poem by rahul mandal

Undiscovered Land

I must be, like you are;
Lurking in the dark,
Waiting for senescence to begin,
Following a preposterous bark,
Only when I am holding a GIN.

Long ago, when time passed us by,
Your youth had executed me;
With a charming smile,
Gin I had not clutched tightly

Back then. Time came to rescue
To mend;
My eyes, lips, nose and ears in a box,
With some fragrance of youth and an
Emotional blend,
Of love and nervousness
Of love and nervousness
For you. Shocked!

Belittling youth, time went on to paint
Our hair grey,
Colored my house with blue,
Time was just a brush let's say;
Moving hands? still contemplating over a gin
Yet with no clue.

Youth was an eternity
Fell on my hair,
Friend wind blew them sideways,
For a box to look clear,
Her eyes lay on me in my days.

We were a distant lover
Between us were;
World, space, time, moon, rays, sun
9 planets, galaxies all of them
Wrapped in an eight-foot undiscovered land,
And yet we were lovers.

And an eight-foot never trodden steps
Towards her,
Brought me;
Loneliness, hallucination,
Confusion between living and not existing,
Dark room, things thrown all over the house,
Box having beards, eyeball almost out, gin and A DEAD DOG.
