Undercurrent Poem by Asma Khan

Undercurrent

Let no one know what's inside this darkness
sing a song of spring's arrival
and let go off all fears

Let no one open the closed book of destiny
erase all promises of togetherness
and walk alone proudly

Let no on keep the fire burning in the heart
dust the ashes of memories with cold blows
and lit a light of no one's wait

Let no one ask who's behind your shadow
paint all dreams in black and white
and clear all doubts of vague truths

Let no one call you from the past again
quieten all noises in the heart of the grave
and empty a room for your loneliness

Let no one cross the boundaries between you and me
walk away silently to weave your breathes
and run over all illusions of a flaky love

Let on one bring up your presence in my life
overlook my existence like you have done before
and wash off stains of time from yourself

Let no one touch the cold eyes of broken dreams
flakes of past still mount to my heart
and hang to my eyes like twinkling stars

Let no on hear you sobbing in the night for
no spring lasts forever and so were we meant to
and let go off me like a rainy day
