Under the dark
My mind races
Pictures of black and white
Rush by in a blur
And the daylight blinds
Because under the stars
My painted pictures come alive
While the rope burns
And my letters lie open
There's a change in the weather
And I stand drenched in the desert
Under the moon
My sighs fade with the day
And I dance with a perfect stranger
The road is long
And it's so far away
Under the dark
I miss the sun
Where my snow now lies
I miss the rain
Where it all lies dry
All I need is light burning low
And under my eyes
Is where it all survives
